Here are a few I have done in the past couple of days-

This first one was for the Heritage Challenge and the Journaling reads:My step-father was the king of Spoonerisms!
He did it so much that we would start doing it.
In case you don’t know what a spoonerism is
it is when you mispronounce a word and
mix it with another one like Sleeping Beauty
is beeping sleuty! Even after he passed away
ten years ago we would catch ourselves
doing it and say “Ah Grampa Jim is around”

This was for the Recipe Challenge
And this was Maggie at age 4 at her first ballet class.

The Bus Stops Here!

This is a true story-none of the names have been changed to protect the innocent or guilty! the journaling reads:  This year both of you had to ride the bus to school, which neither of you have done before. You had to wear wrist bands with your name and bus number on them and were instructed to make sure to check the number of your bus so that you got on the correct bus. We are 2 weeks into the school year and your Mom walked you to the bus stop at the corner of your street. Maggie went to climb aboard and you Bobby grabbed her and said “this is not our bus!” Your mom looked puzzled as she did not realize the bus had a number. You were right! This was not bus number 433, it was 277. The bus driver then explained that your bus was being repaired so it was okay to board! You were 5 years old Bobby and the only person that morning who noticed the difference! You are so observant! I am very proud of you for protecting your sister, and that you were doing the right thing by checking before you got on!
High Five for you!

Another Vacation Photo

This is a photo of the four of us who met in Cape May N.J. This was taken on the beach at Cape May. The water was so beautiful and relaxing! It was a calming peaceful place to be-I know why Pat loves it there. When we were out on the boat for the whale & dolphin watch I could have stayed there forever! The water was calm, peaceful, and you could be alone with yourself and God.

Journaling Challenge

this month is to face your demons so I did!  The journaling reads:
My biggest demon I believe is ANXIETY!

Anxiety is that sick feeling of fear you get in your stomach and your chest
You feel like you can’t breathe. It is paralyzing.
I remember having anxiety even as a small child. I have it still in my adult life,
but in the past ten years or so it seems to be under control and hiding in
there waiting for a chance to show it’s colors.
My father was an abusive person-to women and kids.
That was the source of my anxiety. It continues to this day but not as often as it
used to. I have learned over the years to deal with it better then I did
as a child and even as an adult. I guess it was a normal reaction to the
environment I lived in as a child, but not in my adult life so much as the
environment is different. But it still creeps in whenever I make a mistake.
I spent a lot of years trying to be perfect but have come to the realization that
I will never be perfect. So I don’t try to be that anymore-Just me!

Scraplift Challenge

For this month's scraplift challenge at Scrapping the Moments we were to use circular photos and ink or paint on our layouts. I cut a photo corner and border masks and painted them to go with photos of Maggie & Bobby riding their bikes at the park the day before they went back to school.
