Lots of Scrapping going on!!!

This is a halloween card I made for the Impromptu Challenge number 4 over at The Moments website. I made the little spider from a brad and Stickles. The following card was for Impromptu Challenge # 2 where you needed to use a stamp!

This layout I did last night for Fast-Trak Friday Night Sketch Challenge. We were to do an intrepretation of Sketch # 37 by Susan Stringfellow from SketchSavy.com.
This layout I did just because I wanted to! I love this photo. It was taken at Kendall Lake at the CVNP. I loved the way the photo popped on this paper. The quote reads: "Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting, and autumn is a mosaic of them all." by Stanley Horowitz.

There is a lot of excitement going on with the new website and the DT call and meeting new people over there. On September 1 my sweet grandaughter Maggie had a lot of excitement going on inside of her little body-her first day of first grade! What could be more exciting to a six year old then the first day of school, a new backpack and a new lunchbox????

Holiday Thinking Inking-Week 2

These are two cards I made for the Thinking Inking Holiday Challenges at Two Peas In a Bucket with Jennifer McGuire, guest designer.
This first one Heartfelt Thanks also was made of scraps so it qualifies for the Go Green Challenge at CM for this month. I stamped the leaves on watercolor paper with one of the stamps in the French Foliage Collection by Stampin Up and some Distress Inks by Ranger. Then you mist them with water, and handcut them.
This second one is Block inking with distress inks . I then stamped the snowman and colored his hat and scarf and touched up with Stickles. The snowflakes are brads touched up with Stickles.

Gap Clock Tower, Lancaster PA.

While we were in Lancaster County Pennsylvania last week with Pat & Dale we were driving around looking for covered bridges and stone barns and we ran across this great clock tower sitting right there in the middle of the town of Gap! The journaling reads that it was built in 1892 in Lancaster County. It supposedly overlooks the Gap where William Penn entered Conestoga in 1701, now Lancaster County, PA. It is quite beautiful! Thanks for Looking!

Autumn Splendor

Here's a layout I did for the BladeMaster's October Challenge which I combined with Stamping Month. I stamped and hand-cut all the leaves, then layered them into this beautiful border. I then tucked in some acorns and voila! The frame, acorns, and title were all cut with my Silhouette. The leaves were stamped with Stampin Up's French Foliage set, and Hero Arts Leaf border stamp. I must tell you the leaves made with the SU French Foliage look so real, Maggie even ask me if they were real and she was holding it in her hand. I used mostly Antique Photo distress ink. I did heat emboss some of them, the patterned paper leaves were also stamped with gold ink but it doesn't show up well in the photo. Thanks so much for looking!

I am BAAAAAAAAck!

I know I haven't been here for a while but last week I got to go to Amish country in Lancaster, PA and meet Pat ! She is a scrapper who faithfully follows my little blog, and is a great scrapper. We met online and finally got to meet in person along with our husbands! What a goodtime we had. You will be seeing layouts from the fun days we spent together-trains, buggy rides, covered bridges, barns in the near future!
Here's a card I did today for the Holiday Thinking Inking class over at Two Peas in a Bucket. I took the original class last year and learned so much, that I couldn't not participate in this one!

Well hope to see you soon with layouts from the PA trip!
