Fall is here!

Good Morning! I believe fall has arrived! The leaves are beginning to change, the temperatures are a little cooler-especially at night and early morning. The apples are ready for picking and the pumpkins are getting bigger. We were in Pa two weeks ago and the apple trees in the orchard were full of apples waiting to be picked. Yummy! We brought home apples and peaches. Everyone is wanting to do fall layouts so that is what I did for my sample for my challenge over at Challenge Master for the BladeMasters challenge Here it is:

This layout I did of the paper Maggie's teacher Mrs.Coffey filled out to nominate Maggie for Student of the Month last January! I am a little slow getting it scrapped but wanted to do it for her book.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

Shaped Card Challenge

Here's a card I made for a challenge over at Two Peas in a Bucket! They had a crop and this is one of the challenges. I took an image of a witches hat and copied it, put the two together and welded the shapes into one, and folded it. Then added the embellishments. It's fun!

Thanks for looking!

HOW TIME FLIES!!!!

It has been a week since I have added anything here so I guess it is about time I did! I actually scrapped this first layout last weekend but never took the photo of it to upload it. It's the certificate Maggie received in January 2010 for being Student of the Month! I used some Sass, DCWV and American Crafts and digital images from the Silhouette.

This next one is a photo I love that I took at Cuyahoga Valley National Park last spring of Maggie that I just think is too cute-my opinion! I used all Imaginesce Lucy collection and some images from my Silhouette.

Thanks so much for looking and your comments are always welcome and appreciated!

An August Sunday Afternoon!

I finally get to scrap and have 2 layouts I finished today. The first one is one I really wanted to do a different way and still may. Our Maggie loves to play dress-up just like most little girls. Her cousin Courtney gave her this pretty princess outfit to play in and I caught the Damsel In Distress in the tower of the castle about to be rescued by her brother!
This layout is for a scraplift challenge over at Challenge Masters for this month. I did these photos of Maggie at age 6 months. I used My Mind's Eye's Petal Pusher collection and some of the flowers are from Prima.

Thanks for looking and come on by anytime!

Hot Summer's Day!

It's 90 plus degrees here today and Maggie and Bobby are playing indoors. Maggie wanted a project to do so I gave her some paper, stamps, ink and markers. She loves the sea creature stamps and decided to stamp those images and color them. Then we cut some clouds and waves which she applied to her picture. I told her we would put it on the blog for everyone to see. So here's Maggie's work of art for today!

Thanks for Looking and stop by again soon!

Brothers

This layout has quite a story behind it! This dog & cat belong to my friend and neighbor. Rory the cat loves to rub against the dog, his version of hugging him. So far these are the best photos we have been able to get. Last Sunday the cat disappeared. We could not find him anywhere. Today he finally showed up in the football field behind our homes. Seven nights he was missing. Thinking he was a goner I had done this lo for Barb to have...and here it is!

I used hearts as the center of the paw pads. Thanks for looking!

Love that Smile!

Here's a layout I did for the recipe challenge over at CM. You had to use patterned cs, 2 flowers, one arrow, three brads, and stitching-faux or the real thing! I used MME diecut cs for the bg,and BoBunny flowers. The journaling reads-"You couldn't wait to lose your teeth, but now you can't eat corn on the cob! Thanks for looking!

New layouts !

Happy Saturday to everyone! Hope you are all having a great weekend! Here are 2 more layouts I have posted for different challenges.
This first one was very difficult for me as I usually use a lot of color. This was a challenge for The Summer Lovin' Contest at Challenge Masters. It had to be all white or black with the only color being embellishments etc not cut from paper or cardstock. Whew!

This layout I just posted for a challenge at Sketches in Thyme-here's a link to their blog-http://sketchesinthyme.blogspot.com/. You are to do your intrepretation of the sketch they have posted there for the week. Here's mine-Bobby playing video games at the age of three!

We had an earthquake here today!

Highly unusual but we do get them once in a while. Never cause any damage-the epicenter is under Lake Erie. I never felt it but people in our immediate area did.
Well I guess my mojo is back as I am scrapping like crazy! Here are 2 layouts I did-one yesterday, and one today! The first one is Summer Fun!

This second one was done to compare the size of the Picton Castle to the average size of boats around Lake Erie.

Thanks for taking your time to check out my fun layouts!

Hi everyone! Hope you are all staying cool and hydrated! It has been very warm the past few days, but it is worse down south I believe! I finally got around to scrapping-yes scrapping!!!! Here is a layout I did today about the Tall Ships that tour the Great Lakes every summer. These photos are from 2000 when Bob & I went to see them. The name of this ship is Picton Castle. It was on The Cuyahoga River, just off of Lake Erie.

Just for fun I did the title with nautical flags which spell out Tall Ships! Thanks for Looking!
