Easter Egg Art

I have done several Easter Egg coloring pages recently but this is a special one for Maggie's book. She loves arts and crafts, and draws more then she plays with dolls. She did a fabulous job with her eggs, and so did Bobby-his layout is in progress! I love these photos, and try to save these memeories for them.

National Scrapbooking Day!

WooHoo! Have to scrap today! And I did! I scrapped 3 layouts today, but I am only posting two since I just finished the third, and do not like photographing them at night. This first one is a photo of Bob & I in December 2009.



This second one Is a lot of fun! The photos are from last summer and the joiurnaling tells the story!

The Journaling reads: Last year on the Fourth of July you were playing in Gramma's backyard. Maggie wanted Bobby to pull her up the slide with her jump rope, and he agreed. When she got to the top he let go and she slid down-she was not very happy but Bobby was according to the grin on his face!

So Sweet and Together, Family ,Good times!

Here are two more layouts I have done -So Sweet is Maggie at about 2 years of age and we had been baking cookies together-I think she liked them!

This is the two grands working hard coloring those Easter Eggs. They had such a good time together doing this!

Gosh Your Awesome

is what I titled this layout about Maggie! She made Student of the Month again this year! We are so proud of her! She loves school, and especially reading. It is nice to know that she practices good citizenship also! She received high praise from her teachers, besides her glowing report cards! These photos were from the ceremony at the school when she was awarded the Student of the Month Certificate.

Aunt Ina's Mandarin Orange Salad

is the recipe to go along with this photo for the Heritage challenge over at the Moments. I really did challenge myself with this one. I scanned a B&W photo into my computer. Then played with it in Photoshop Elements which is new to me. I got it in this sepia tone look and then scrapped this page. I really like the end result.

This is a layout I have

wanted to do for several months and finally made the opportunity to do it. I did this for the sketch class I am taking at My Creative Classsroom, and was inspired by a sketch of Allison Davis.

I love the photo of Bobby opening that big door to go to preschool for the very first time. I hope he will enjoy this memory when he is older and can appreciate the signifigance of this day. Thanks for sharing my creative work with me, you are all so appreciated.

This is a layout I did for the class I am taking by Allison Davis! Bobby loves playing video games! In these photos he was on Disney. com playing Tangled! He does very well playing these games on the computer, tv or his handheld Leapfrog game. He is very comfortable with them and does not get too rattled! We do have to limit his time on them however. Thanks for looking!

Hummingbirds Fledging!

I have been watching a live stream of an Allen hummingbirds nest recently. Here's the link if you would like to watch. These babies are ready and leaving the nest, but she will be building another one and laying eggs shortly. So keep checking in. The first baby fledged-left the nest yesterday but returned to be with the other bird. Last night they were sleeping and twe were able to get this photo of them cuddling. These two very much bonded with one another. These birds are in southern California so Pacific time.

This is a layout I did for the class I am taking by Allison Davis at My Creative Classrom. I used pics of my dear grandchildren playing in the sand pit at Linden Park.
