Bob’s Calendar

I started working on Bob’s  calendar for his friends and family who love his farm! I thought I would share the first  two pages with you.  It is being done digi so I can print and bind it myself. This first photo will be the front cover.

Christmas is in the air!

This is my DD’s Christmas tree. I made most of the ornaments when my girls were small as they always wanted to help decorate the tree, but I worried about them breaking an ornament and getting cut. I bought some kits and sanded and painted and glued 75 wooden ornaments! Some of them were 3-D! There are also special ornaments I had made for each of my girls on this tree. Now my grandchildren also can safely help decorate the tree!

Adding two Layouts today!!!!

My sweet Maggie dressed as a genie for Halloween! I think she is way too cute to spook!!! I used Simple Stories Fall collection and images from the Silhouette Studio.

This is layout I did with photos from my niece’s baby shower. She is due in December.  They are outdoors fans and her MIL made her a stuffed owl for the baby in the same colors as I made this one!  This layout was inspired by a sketch and papers from my Super Sketches kit.

Here & Now

This is a page telling of Maggie’s love of target shooting. She goes to the gun club with her dad and I must say by looking at that target she does pretty well.  She is also learning how to safely treat a gun.

Sisters

This is another page for my Book of Me album. It my sister Teri and I and was taken in 1951 I believe. I always loved this photo of the two of us. Mom always dressed alike for holidays and such. We were 15 months apart.

All paper and elements were by Katie Pertiet.

Toddler Years

This is the second page of my Book of Me-the photos were taken in the summer of 1949 and I was about 18 months old.

Smile

I did this page before I had my surgery but I am just getting it photographed and posted. These are the sweet flowers my BFF Pat and her DH sent to cheer me up before my surgery.  Thanks so much again for the thoughtful gift, and now I can enjoy it forever!

Future Designer

Here’s a page I did about our girly-girl Maggie. She totally loves drawing and designing clothes and dresses. These are a few of her drawings and the computer program she loves to draw with. Her drawings are done with a stencil for the body but she designs the clothes. I hope she continues to love her art work as an adult.

I used Echo Park and Cosmo Cricket. This page was inspired by a page by Shimelle.

Sticker Fun

Here’s a page I did about Bobby and his love for the Lego Star Wars characters. He is working on a sticker book about all his favorites!

Creative Passions

I have a surprise for all of you! This month I was asked to participate in the Member Spotlight on the Creative Passion Blog.  I was so excited I had to share with all of you! Creative Passions is a a site with online classes both weekly and self-paced. It was started by Tami Taylor. I have taken classes on layering, inspiration, and digital scrapbooking there. There is also Digital U which is  a monthly webinar with a different topic each month, and I even tried my hand with art journaling!  They also have a forum and gallery. The Perfect Collection

Is a class by Shimelle  that shows you how to cut papers from an entire collection to scrap your pages with and increase your productivity!  I am still sort of slow but that is just me. I cut up 12 sheets of  American Crafts Blue Skies collection. It is from a couple of years ago but I still have part of it to use. LOL So today I cut 12 sheets into different sizes and shapes Here is the first layout I have done with it. The large floral and the stripe are two of the pieces from the kit.

I used AC cardstock, the tags were cut with Silhouette Studio images, the keys are K& Co.  I stamped  with Vintage Photo Distress ink and fussy cut the titles. Thanks for looking!

Wow two layouts posted in one day!

That’s a rare thing for me these days. A fun layout of the grands and their friend staying cool in the pool on these 100 degree days we are having.

Sorry my photo is a little crooked. I used a sketch by Debbie Sanders from the Super Sketches kit featuring Echo Park. I added stamped images by Imaginesce, and Distress inks, then fussy cut them and the other fishes. The title was from Silhouette Studio and the tags were Echo Park & Silhouette Studio. July Fourth Fun!

The Fourth of July was a very hot steamy day here with 100 degrees on the thermometers. So  a lot of the day was spent in water or indoors. My grandchildren managed to bear the heat though by playing in the pool, but they also marched in the Fairlawn parade with their karate school. We watched fireworks on Tuesday night. I think they really enjoyed the holiday as most of do inspite of the heat!

This layout was inspired by a sketch by Debbie Sanders and is from the June Super Sketches kit featuring Echo Park papers. I also added  some stars I fussy cut from pattern paper by We R Memories. I varied the photo sizes and added a few other touches of my own. Thanks for looking!

Celebrate the simple things

I so love these soft yellow petunias I planted in my planter boxes. They look so beautiful in spite of the 99 degree temperatures we have had the past few days. I used Prima’s Sunkissed collection, and Webster’s Pages. Thanks for looking!

Gifts for Mom

Here’s the sweet Mother’s Day gifts the grands made this year for their Mom. They were so proud of what they made. Bobby’s was breakfast in bed, and Maggie’s were flowers they grew from seed. Great job!

A beautiful day in the neighborhood…..

It was a beautiful day here today, so I scrapped two pages. I put everything else aside, edited my photos and here you go! the first one is of my two grands swimming in their backyard pool. the second is Maggie and her bowling trophies. She bowled one day a week after school with kids from the school. Her team came in first place! That layout was inspired by a sketch by Susan Stringfellow.

Earth Day 2012

Bobby received a tree seedling at school for Earth Day. He and his dad went out and planted it in the backyard-a temporary home. He was so proud to help his dad plant that tree! We will watch it grow as we watch Bobby grow!

Is the name of the collection of paper I used and I thought it was so appropriate for this photo. The paper is MME, and I misted the background with Glimmer Mist in Walnut gold, and stamped with Ranger Antique Linen Distress inks. TFL

Reading to Papa

Bobby found out Papa likes to read about Thomas Jefferson so he found a book to read to his Papa!-Notice Papa is the best seat in the house!!!

Student of the Month

Bobby made Student of the Month in March 2012 for his class. He was so proud that he was named Student of the Month but not near as proud as we were of him! He loves to read and math! He is totally awesome!!!

Just Being Silly!
