22 in a Row

This is part of the celebration after the Cleveland Indians broke the consecutive wins record for the American League set in 1935. There is only one more record for the National league set in 1926 but there is controversy since one game was a tie. Most elements used on this layout are unavailable but remain in my stash. I used two fonts-lobster, and impact. I extracted the lower photo. These two photos were from the Cleveland Indians website and the framed one was taken by Brittney Zivcsak/MLB Photos)and the extracted one was taken by Alex Trautwig/MLB Photos)

Believe it or not I finally got this layout posted! Only took me a few weeks.  These are the cute Guitars that are displayed on the sidewalk in Mayberry.  I thought they were such a nice touch.

Mom Prom 2017

Hi everyone! Well its that time of the year again! Proms, proms and Mom Proms! The cultural Center here throws 2 dances a year for the kids,  the Daddy Daughter Dance in February and the Mom Prom in early May. So this is the dancing duo Becky and Bobby.   I used all products from my stash and most of it is MME.

I made this tag quite a while ago and have saved till I had a layout where it would look good and thought this one filled the bill. Thanks for looking!

I have not been able to post anything but I have been working on a few things. The latest is a technique I saw on Jennifer McGuire's site  I am doing ok but want to have more then on flower on my card or layout. Here is a sample of what I am playing with. You are actually stamping with Versamark and Precious Pearls. Also need layered stamps. Here's the link for the video:

Just for You

Here's the birthday card I made for my DGD's birthday.  I mostly used scraps and older tools like my Spellbinders circle dies and scalloped circle dies and a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Also used  Distress inks in Victorian Velvet, Broken china and Scattered Straw.

Feature Layout of the day

I was so excited as I was reading my daily email from Scrapbook.com and saw my layout  Sweet was one of the Featured Layouts of the day! That will encourage you to do more for sure! It is really nice to see that from time to time! They are chosen by the number of times a layout is liked by other members of Scrapbook.com.

Valentine Cards

I stole some scrapping time today and made Valentines for my DGC! I so enjoyed doing it too! Yep Mojo is back.

I used a design from the Silhouette Design store called an A2 X-card. Paper and card stock by  American crafts and MME.  The owl card is for Maggie and the heart for Bobby!

You're Awesome!

I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's video on making ombre backgrounds.  I will be making more of these for sure. It also had ink resist using heat embossing. I used a blending tool to ink the paper and then using a brush to blend toward the softer top.

Fright Night

Better late then never! I am finally getting Bobby's Halloween picture scrapped and posted. I did something with this layout that I have never done before. I started with black card stock and then designed the background with stickers from my stash. I know some folks do that every day but I have never done it before. I think it came out well.  Not sure I will do again soon.  He was a character named SANS from one of his games.

Uniquely You

I actually did a layout and actually enjoyed doing it. Maybe my mojo is finally coming back.  The papers and embellishments are by My Mind's Eye. The flower I had made. I liked the honeycomb design up by the label so added more to my background with a stencil and Victorian Velvet Distress Ink I used the blending tool and gently rubbed the ink onto the stencil! I think it came out well I am very happy with it.  I had to show off Maggie's new look!

Wow I have not been here for quite a while!

Time I got back over here I would say. I guess I got busy making Christmas cards and all and gave up on my blog. Not sure how much longer I am going to continue. If I am not going to make it worth your while then I should close it down. Going to make one more good attempt!

Here are some cards I have made the past couple of weeks. Trying to keep the spark going!

This canning Jar is too cute. It is from the Silhouette Design
Store and was designed by Lori Whitlock.  It folds down flat so it will fit into an envelope.  It has three layers inserted for the flowers.

This gatefold card was inspired by Jennifer McGuire. The heart is attached to the inside of the card. The vellum band slides on and off easily and I stamped the sentiment onto the vellum with Stazon ink.

This card has a layered front panel with the flowers I made from stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations.  I love  texture the stamp gives them and I used floral tools to add extra dimension. I then inked them with distress inks with red and burnt orange.  The tag I cut and stamped the design and sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by and giving my cards a look!
