New layouts !

Happy Saturday to everyone! Hope you are all having a great weekend! Here are 2 more layouts I have posted for different challenges.
This first one was very difficult for me as I usually use a lot of color. This was a challenge for The Summer Lovin' Contest at Challenge Masters. It had to be all white or black with the only color being embellishments etc not cut from paper or cardstock. Whew!

This layout I just posted for a challenge at Sketches in Thyme-here's a link to their blog-http://sketchesinthyme.blogspot.com/. You are to do your intrepretation of the sketch they have posted there for the week. Here's mine-Bobby playing video games at the age of three!

A fun layout for a fun challenge!!!!

For this weeks challenge for the Summer Lovin Contest over at Ch{all}enge Masters you were to make your own sketch, and then do a layout to go with it! That Pat sure likes to challenge our brains!!! Well here are the sketch and the layout I did for that fun contest-

Then for bonus extra points you needed to make a card from your scraps-I really didn't have many but here's what I came up with!

We have a lot of fun over there-the challenges are really not that hard-just make you use your brains and step outside of your regular box!!! Thanks for looking!

We had an earthquake here today!

Highly unusual but we do get them once in a while. Never cause any damage-the epicenter is under Lake Erie. I never felt it but people in our immediate area did.
Well I guess my mojo is back as I am scrapping like crazy! Here are 2 layouts I did-one yesterday, and one today! The first one is Summer Fun!

This second one was done to compare the size of the Picton Castle to the average size of boats around Lake Erie.

Thanks for taking your time to check out my fun layouts!

A Very Special Day!

This Mother's Day was a very special one for all of us, but especially daughter Becky! This year grandaughter Maggie is in kindergarten. She made her mother a beautiful present at school for her special day! Then she and her brother made cards at my house for her also. When Becky got to my house to pick the children up Maggie could not wait to give her mom the gift and card. The very special part of the gift was when Maggie READ her card to her Mom- a first!!!!!!!! Maggie is so proud that she can READ!!!!! We are very excited for her also! She does a very good job! So here's the layout to commerate that very special moment!

I will be adding at least one more layout regarding my dear grandchildren's special gifts for Mother's Day as I will be doing a layout with Bobby's also!
Thanks so much for taking some of your time to visit Gramma's Happy Place!

What a beautiful day we are having!

The sun is shining and it has warmed up to the 60's! I have lilacs outside my front door and opened the window and it smells so good in here!

I scrapped some yesterday and finished a couple of layouts!

This one was for a challenge where I could only use these colors-the first lap of my first NASCAR race! Bristol Motor Speedway is in Bristol Tennessee. Had a really good time at the race-will be posting more layouts from there.

This next one is for a challenge to scrap something new to you-so my new camera Bob gave me for Mother's Day! I am sure it will take a lot of photos for me to scrap in the future!

Hope you have a great weekend and stop back anytime!
